Hailed by TripAdvisor as one of the top zoos in the country, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is best known for their large herd of reticulated giraffes. They’d be mighty grateful if you fed them some lettuce, available in the hut near their balcony that allows you to get up close and personal. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because you’re going to want to explore every habitat at this awesome zoo!

Manitou Cliff Dwellings
Touch 700-year-old history
Originally moved to Manitou Springs in the early 1900’s, the Cliff Dwellings has served as a hands-on educational museum for well over 100 years. Climb inside the dwellings and imagine life as an ancient Pueblo Indian, try your hand at grinding corn, and soak in the cool feeling of the sandstone. There are no “Do Not Touch” signs here!

Royal Gorge Bridge & Park

Hanging 956 feet above the Arkansas River, the Royal Gorge Bridge is the highest suspension bridge in the United States. We recommend you ride the gondola across the gorge, and head back on the bridge. Or, for the truly daring, take the zip line across. The kids will love the Tommy Knocker Playland, and you’ll love the gorge-side BBQ and fresh squeezed lemonade!
