Meadow Nature Walk
Presented by Cheyenne Mountain State Park at Cheyenne Mountain State Park Colorado Springs, CO
The meadow nature walk is a relatively short guided nature walk through some of our park’s pristine natural environments. Learn about the ecology of meadows and open spaces with park naturalist Sam Owens. The walk takes place in Cheyenne Mountain State Park, starting at the Prairie Falcon Amphitheater parking at 10:00 am at select dates in July. Reservations are available on CPW connect, but walk-ins are allowed. No fee is needed for the walk, but the entry fee to the park is still required. Walk will commence rain or shine, so participants are advised to come prepared for weather and trail conditions. Appropriate footwear and clothing is needed, as the trail is not paved. Audience: All are welcome, however, please keep in mind individual skill level and challenge of an hour long moderate hike. Dogs not permitted Fee: Park entry fee required Time duration: 1-2 hours maximum, although under an hour is possible based on walk dynamics. Joe Sciallo & The Deep End

You don't need to have any artistic experience to enjoy this creative adventure at Garden of the Gods! Our talented docent will guide you through capturing different perspectives of the park using either cyanotype paper or shadow tracing techniques. All materials will be provided. Fencing for Beginners

Monthly classes are available for children ages 6-14, teens and adults at Front Range Fencing Club. Students need only wear gym pants, gym shoes, and a t-shirt. Equipment use in class is provided. Note that class size is limited and usually fills early. Intermediate and advanced on-going classes and competitive lessons are offered.

Curious George: 'The Golden Meatball'

Second Stage Music by John Kavanaugh | Book and Lyrics by Jeremy Desmon George had been waiting all month for All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day, a day almost bigger than his birthday! But this year, the hungry crowd had vanished! Something was keeping people away… something pretty big. And that something was Phinneas T. Lightspeed and his speedy Meatballs-o-Matic machine. In despair, George’s friend Chef Pisghetti vows to cook no more. Determined to help him, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome. Everyone’s favorite mischievous monkey and his friend in the yellow hat sing and dance up a storm in this adventure-filled musical.
