Bring your “nature eyes” and explore Garden of the Gods! Join Park Guide and Junior Ranger co-author Jennifer for this family and stroller friendly walk. Families will leisurely walk into the Park from the Visitor and Nature Center, playing ‘I spy’ or Nature Bingo. Sticker packet included! Sunscreen, sturdy shoes and water recommended. Celebrating Colorado’s Birthday: this year’s event lands right alongside Colorado’s birthday, and we’re going all in. Expect a bigger crowd, more energy, and a full-on street party atmosphere right in the heart of Cripple Creek. Full Street Take Over: We’ll be set up on Bennett Ave, surrounded by: Casinos Hotels within walking distance. Easy access to camping. During the event, open container is allowed on the street, so you can grab a drink and walk the strip while taking in the cars, music, and madness. Food, Music & More: This isn’t just a car event — it’s a full weekend experience: Food trucks serving all weekend. Live music on Saturday. Activities for kids and families. Vendors, games, and plenty to explore Whether you’re racing, showing, or just spectating, there’s something for everyone. Curious George: 'The Golden Meatball'

Second Stage Music by John Kavanaugh | Book and Lyrics by Jeremy Desmon George had been waiting all month for All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day, a day almost bigger than his birthday! But this year, the hungry crowd had vanished! Something was keeping people away… something pretty big. And that something was Phinneas T. Lightspeed and his speedy Meatballs-o-Matic machine. In despair, George’s friend Chef Pisghetti vows to cook no more. Determined to help him, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome. Everyone’s favorite mischievous monkey and his friend in the yellow hat sing and dance up a storm in this adventure-filled musical. Curious George is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Rocky Mountain Rendezvous Walking Festival
Presented by AVA: America's Walking Club and Falcon Wanderers at Drury Hotel Colorado Springs, CO
This is the ninth of 17 events around the United States. Hosted by five Colorado walking clubs, there will be a mix of self-guided and group walks, as well as socials. 5K and 10K walks include Black Forest Regional Park, Paint Mines, Garden of the Gods, Stratton Open Space, City of Gold Mines in Victor, and Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge. All ages and abilities can participate. We welcome the community to join us each day, for a fee of $4 for each walk (one time $6 registration fee). More information is available here. The delightfully campy show revels in nostalgia for Hollywood musicals of the '30s. Sweet little Ruby from faraway Hometown, U.S.A. has come to the big city make her mark on Broadway. Who should she chance to meet but another boy from Hometown, U.S.A.: Dick, a sailor, who also has ambitions as a songwriter. Ruby begins in the chorus, and by the end of the day, in true Hollywood fashion, Dick saves her doomed Broadway show with a smash tune and Ruby becomes a star on the deck of a battleship, which just happens to be passing by.
