Who doesn’t love a birthday party? This year, Colorado is turning 150, and America is turning 250! The Little Learners: Pikes Peak Wonders Series is for children (ages 3-5) and their favorite grownup. Learn and celebrate the whole year through games, crafts, songs, and history challenges. These programs are designed to help young learners discover and practice essential development skills, all while exploring history! This month we'll dive into the Colorado Early Learning & Development Guidelines for Physical Development & Health and explore movement, navigation, and balance. 'The Garbologists'

Written by Lindsay Joelle and Directed by GerRee Hinshaw. Danny is a white, blue-collar, born-and-bred New Yorker. Marlowe is Black, Ivy-League-educated, and just joined the sanitation department. They’ve got one thing in common: the route. Over the course of countless trash pickups, this odd couple bickers, bonds, and uncovers unexpected truths about themselves—and the city they serve. Directed by GerRee Hinshaw (Dream Hou$e), The Garbologists is a sharp and heartfelt comedy about finding connection in the mess of everyday life. Pikes Peak Pride Festival & Parade

Tens of thousands of visitors will gather from Colorado and the Pikes Peak Region. Two full days of festival activities to include over 150 vendors, a cocktail lounge, youth square and over 25 live entertainment acts. On Sunday, the annual Pikes Peak Pride Parade will fill the streets of Tejon with Vibrant floats enthusiastic marchers, lively music and a myriad of other attractions. Our desire is to foster a festival where people feel safe, accepted, and supported while raising awareness for issues facing LGBTQ+ people living in the Pikes Peak Region. Pikes Peak Marathon 70th Anniversary

Known as “America’s Ultimate Challenge” the Pikes Peak Marathon is a race like no other. With a 7,800-foot vertical climb, the course takes runners from Manitou Springs, Colorado, along Barr Trail to the summit of Pikes Peak at 14,115 feet —and back— for a total of 26.2 grueling mountain miles. For seven decades, dedicated runners have competed in this Ultimate Challenge, meaning that September 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the Pikes Peak Marathon. In partnership with the Pikes Pike Marathon & Ascent organization, the Manitou Springs Heritage Museum is hosting “Pikes Peak Marathon 70th Anniversary,” an informative exhibit that will provide historical highlights of each decade as the race evolved and will feature some legendary runners throughout the years. Pikes Peak AdAmAn VIP Fireworks Event Ring in the New Year with an unforgettable mountain celebration at Pikes Peak! Guests will enjoy exclusive nighttime access to the North Slope Recreation Area and Crystal Reservoir as the iconic AdAmAn New Year’s Eve fireworks light up the alpine sky. Beginning at 10:30 pm, Pikes Peak Ranger staff will escort guests to the Crystal Reservoir Visitor Center parking area for a safe, guided arrival. Event highlights include: Fireside chats with AdAmAn members Nick Baki and Dave Hunting. Warm drinks and food options available for purchase. Souvenirs for sale. Designated outdoor viewing areas for the fireworks show (weather permitting). This family-friendly, all-access experience offers a rare chance to welcome the New Year surrounded by incredible views of the peak, stars, and one of Colorado’s most beloved traditions. Admission tickets and timed-entry permit must be bought in advance, no sales will be made at the entrance. Dancing Into 2026

Slip on your best dancing shoes and come celebrate a new year at the Lodge with us! The night of celebrations kicks off with a free Family Contra Dance from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, with a rousing performance by Grapefruit Moon from 8 to 11 pm. At 10 pm there will be a short intermission, then we'll celebrate the Times Square Ball Drop with a champagne toast, and the festivities will continue for another hour!
