'Stronger Together'

Cottonwood Center for the Arts in partnership with the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPR) is thrilled to present a juried exhibition for the month of September: STRONGER TOGETHER. This installation features artworks created in response to an open call to the public celebrating the 20th anniversary of COPPR, underwritten by Herman Tiemens. This project was designed to foster a deeper connection between local creative organizations and local creatives, to benefit our community at large. As inspiration for this call, COPPR and Herman Tiemens selected a diverse spectrum of creative brands from our community as subject matter. We asked artists to create artworks honoring the ethos and unique character of their chosen organization(s), highlighting their vital role in our region’s cultural identity. Entries of all mediums and styles were accepted. This exhibition is sponsored by Purple Mountain Group at Morgan Stanley. Our Friday You-Pick Flowers at our farm in Colorado Springs was created around one simple idea: spending a sunny summer morning exactly how we’d want to—surrounded by flowers and good company. Picture this: sipping coffee, strolling the fields, and cutting a beautiful bouquet to take home. It’s slow, joyful, and just about perfect. Farm Hours: The farm is open from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. With your ticket, you’re welcome to arrive anytime during those hours. General Admission — $5 Each guest entering the farm for you-pick will pay a flat $5 admission fee. Flowers are purchased separately and purchased at the farm. Your admission includes access to: The you-pick flower field Our on-site gift shop Picnic tables and seating Concessions Wander the garden and fill your cup with 20 flower stems. The biodegradable cup is yours to keep, making it easy to transport your flowers home or share them with a friend. We provide the cup, water, and snips for cutting. Labor Day Event: Clear the Zinnia & Sunflower Fields

We’re changing things up at the farm! Due to the heat and drought earlier this summer, our dahlias need a little more time to grow and bloom. Dahlia Days will now take place September 12 and 19—but we still have something special planned for September 5! Come help us clear the zinnia and sunflower fields before we prepare them for a fall cover crop. For one morning only: • Half-price admission—just $5 per person • Fill-the-cup flower sale—fit as many flowers as you can into your cup • Zinnias, sunflowers, marigolds and snapdragons available for picking • Coffee from Good Gracious Coffee • Brunch from 4th Avenue Crepes • Floral-inspired cocktails • A mini market featuring local artisan vendors Flower cups are $25 and may be purchased at the farm. We’ll provide your biodegradable cup, water and snips. Dahlias are not included in this you-pick event. Bring a friend, sip something delicious and help us give the zinnia and sunflower fields one final, flower-filled celebration before the season begins to shift. Children under 6 are free.
