Colorado College Chamber Chorus presents "The Art of Song"

Colorado College Chamber Chorus Deborah Jenkins Teske, conductor The Art of Song Music from the Renaissance to contemporary, featuring works by Thomas Tallis, G.F. Handel, Bob Chilcott, Alice Parker, and more. General Parking Information: Street parking around Packard Hall is open after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. The Money Museum lot directly south of Packard is available for Music event attendees after 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and all day Sundays. Complimentary two-hour parking and metered parking is offered near the Spencer Center at 830 N. Tejon St. Paid parking is available in Robson Garage and in permitted lots in the designated ParkMobile spaces only. Raptors of Colorado

Have you ever wondered what makes falcons the fastest animals in the world? Can owls really turn their head all the way around? Birds of prey have fascinated humans for thousands of years and have been important symbols (both positive and negative) in cultures throughout the world. This program on raptors in Colorado will introduce participants to these fascinating animals by discussing their unique adaptations, their individual hunting strategies, and their conservation challenges. This program will take place on the second floor of the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. Please note that there are no live animals in this program. UCCS Visiting Author Series: Keetje Kuipers & Susanna Childress

The UCCS Visiting Author Series proudly presents writers Keetje Kuipers and Susanna Childress as part of its Fall 2026 line-up. A public reading featuring both will be held in-person at the Heller Center and online, followed by a Q&A session, and booksigning. Light refreshments will be served. Keetje Kuipers’ fourth collection of poems is Lonely Women Make Good Lovers. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowship, and her poems have appeared in the Pushcart Prize and Best American Poetry anthologies. She lives in Montana and is Editor of Poetry Northwest. Susanna Childress is the author, most recently, of Extremely Yours: a Memoir in Fragments. Her creative nonfiction has appeared in The Rumpus, Idaho Review, Indiana Review, Cincinnati Review, and twice been noted in Best American Essays. She lives along the west shore of Michigan and teaches at Hope College.
