Pikes Peak APEX

The Pikes Peak Apex is a premier multi-day mountain bike race that attracts elite and amateur cyclists to Colorado Springs each year, offering an intense challenge through some of the most rugged and beautiful terrain in the area. Riders tackle a variety of courses that include steep climbs, technical descents, and scenic singletrack trails, with each stage designed to push their limits and test their endurance. The event culminates in a thrilling ascent of Pikes Peak itself, providing participants with a chance to conquer one of the most iconic and demanding summits in the United States. This race not only highlights the athleticism of participants but also showcases the breathtaking landscape surrounding Colorado Springs, including the diverse trails of the Pikes Peak region. Pikes Peak Pride Festival & Parade

Tens of thousands of visitors will gather from Colorado and the Pikes Peak Region. Two full days of festival activities to include over 150 vendors, a cocktail lounge, youth square and over 25 live entertainment acts. On Sunday, the annual Pikes Peak Pride Parade will fill the streets of Tejon with Vibrant floats enthusiastic marchers, lively music and a myriad of other attractions. Our desire is to foster a festival where people feel safe, accepted, and supported while raising awareness for issues facing LGBTQ+ people living in the Pikes Peak Region. 2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Flag Football Tournament
Presented by Pro Football Camp at John Venezia Community Park Colorado Springs, CO
Format: Each game consists of two 15-minute (running clock) halves with a 5-minute half-time break. Minimum three pool play games per team. Tiebreaker goes to point differential to determine seeding for Playoff Rounds. NO OVERTIMES in Pool Play. Single elimination for Playoffs: Win and advance. Equipment Requirements: Every participant is expected to provide there own flags and protective gear deemed fit by our policies. Each team is required to have a dark and light option of the same color t-shirt or a set of same colored pennies. Soft shell helmets and mouthpieces are REQUIRED. All outfit and gear policies are explained in the rules. Girls and Boys ages 10-18. Cripple Creek Gold Rush Rodeo

The City of Cripple Creek has a rich and colorful history. Before the discovery of gold that would change the area forever, Cripple Creek was a cattle ranch. In 1895, the only Mexican Bullfight ever fought on North American soil was staged just outside of town. And indoor rodeos were held in the early 1900’s. Today, we are proud to carry on the long tradition of folks pushing themselves and their livestock to the edge. 'Shadows Gather'

Shadows Gather is a photography project that documents the alternative nightlife scene and the vibrant individuals who inhabit it. Based in Denver, Colorado, Shadow uses unconventional techniques pairing a Fuji Instax Classic Mini with iPhone flashlight lighting, along with disposable 35mm cameras to create raw, immediate images that preserve moments often overlooked. Shadows word capture subcultures rarely seen in the mainstream: gutter punks drag artists, and creatures of the night, photographed at warehouse parties, underground venues, and DIY spaces. In documenting these fleeting moments, Shadow is preserving a part of history that might otherwise be forgotten, ensuring these stories and scenes aren’t lost to time. Written by Lindsay Joelle and Directed by GerRee Hinshaw. Danny is a white, blue-collar, born-and-bred New Yorker. Marlowe is Black, Ivy-League-educated, and just joined the sanitation department. They’ve got one thing in common: the route. Over the course of countless trash pickups, this odd couple bickers, bonds, and uncovers unexpected truths about themselves—and the city they serve. Directed by GerRee Hinshaw (Dream Hou$e), The Garbologists is a sharp and heartfelt comedy about finding connection in the mess of everyday life. 'The Women of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb'

The Manitou Springs Heritage Museum will present “The Women of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb” leading up to the June 21 race. Learn more about Loni Unser, who continues to blaze the trail for her legendary racing family, and other pioneering women including Michelle Mouton, who paved the way for her female successors. The exhibit will include exciting race photos, including ones taken by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Jackson.
