4th Annual Indian Food Festival
Presented by Polka Dots And Curry at Liberty High School Colorado Springs, CO
Indian Food Festival Returns to Colorado Springs on August 1, Celebrating Cuisine, Community & Culture. The Indian Food Festival returns on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Liberty High School, Colorado Springs, inviting the community to experience an afternoon filled with authentic food, live entertainment, shopping, and family-friendly activities. The festival brings together some of Colorado's favorite Indian restaurants, food vendors, artisans, and performers for a one-day cultural experience that welcomes people of all backgrounds. The festival is being brought to you by Polka Dots and Curry, which has offered Indian cooking classes since 2017 in Colorado Springs. In addition to a wide variety of Indian food, this year’s festival highlights an Indian-themed fashion show, Karaoke, Indian dance performances, henna (temporary henna design and tattoos), free dance lessons and raffle prizes round out this year’s festival offering. The Indian Food Festival celebrates the cultural diversity that strengthens Colorado. By sharing Indian cuisine, traditions, music, and dance with the broader community, the festival honors the many cultures that contribute to Colorado's history, identity, and future, supporting the Colorado 150 theme of celebrating our shared communities. With thousands of attendees expected, the Indian Food Festival has become one of Southern Colorado's premier multicultural events, creating meaningful connections through food, music, and community. Springs & Strings

The Mineral Springs Foundation, SunWater Spa, Historic Manitou Springs, and the Manitou Music Foundation invite the community to Springs & Strings, a free afternoon gathering celebrating music, mineral water, local history, and community connection. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and their people. Lawn chairs are welcome, too. The afternoon will feature live music by Dina Hollingsworth and friends, historic Manitou storytelling, mineral water, and food from OneLuv Eats food truck. Mineral springs-inspired cocktails, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public. Proceeds and support from the event will benefit the Manitou Music Foundation and the Mineral Springs Foundation. Sunnyside Cemetery Tours
Presented by Victor Lowell Thomas Museum at Sunnyside Cemetery Cripple Creek, CO
Guided walking tours of the Sunnyside Cemetery near Victor, sponsored by the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, will be held June 6 through Sept. 19 - the first Saturdays of each month at 10 am and third Saturdays of each month at 1 pm, weather allowing. Local historians Alicia Petri Harrington and Veldean Myers will be conducting the tours, sharing histories of families who pioneered the gold rush day, telling stories of resilient women, brave men, grave robbers, and unusual characters. Meet just outside the cemetery gate in Pauper’s Field (Teller County Road 87 southwest of Victor). This event highlights the importance of the people who lived through Cripple Creek Victor Gold Rush in the history of the western United States and Colorado during the 250/150 celebration this summer. Pikes Peak Sunrise Opening
Presented by Pikes Peak - America's Mountain at Pikes Peak - America's Mountain Cascade, CO
Advance purchase is required. Each vehicle must have a timed-entry permit and Sunrise admission ticket purchased online before arrival. Tickets will not be sold at the Gateway, and access to the North Slope Recreation Area will not be available during event hours. Prefer to leave the driving to us? Shuttle tickets are available! Shuttles depart from the North Pole parking lot, located 0.3 miles before the Pikes Peak entrance, and travel directly to the summit. The Pikes Peak Gateway will open early for special sunrise events, so please take note of your arrival time when purchasing tickets. Before you go, please prepare for the mountain drive and summit conditions: • Avoid using air conditioning on the way up. • Know how to downshift and use engine braking on the way down. • Drink plenty of water before and during your visit. • Bring warm layers. The summit is usually about 30 degrees colder than in town and can be especially cold before sunrise. The Summit Visitor Center café and gift shop will be open for food and souvenirs. Don’t miss this extraordinary chance to welcome the day from the top of America’s Mountain. All access is weather permitting. Jazz in the Garden Presents US Air Force Academy Band

The professional Airmen-musicians in the USAFA follow a long blue line of talented Air Force Academy bandsmen, dedicated to serving our great nation. They represent the young men and women at the United States Air Force Academy training to be officers of character who will lead our Air Force and Space Force. The USAFA bands play a major role in cultivating our national heritage through American jazz! The Jazz in the Garden 2026 season begins on May 29 at 7pm in the garden at the corner of N. Tejon and Monument Streets., just blocks north of downtown, and continues on alternate Fridays through August 21. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready to spend your evening with the best music to be found in the city–new, old, tried and true you don't want to miss a single one!
