From humble beginnings covering soul standards in their unlikely hometown of Greeley, Colorado, The Burroughs have traversed a decade of growth and reinvention to become a band that defies odds and transcends categorization. Jazz in the Garden Presents: Hennessy 6

Bringing its unique sound to concert halls, clubs and festivals, the Hennessy 6 showcases its exciting original material to enthusiastic audiences and packed clubs throughout their touring area. Whether performing as a stand-alone sextet or with a full orchestra, the Hennessy 6 explores multiple styles and flavors with versatility and virtuosity. Collectively, the band’s members have appeared alongside numerous luminaries of the music world, including Dave Liebman, Maria Schneider, Joe Walsh, Ernie Watts, John Faddis, Wycliffe Gordon, Vince Gill, and Amy Grant. The 2026 season begins on May 29 at 7pm in the garden at the corner of N. Tejon and Monument Streets., just blocks north of downtown, and continues on alternate Fridays through August 21. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready to spend your evening with the best music to be found in the city–new, old, tried and true you don't want to miss a single one! We'll provide beverages (for donation) and music that will get your toes tapping and fingers snapping. Picnics welcome. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged. Beverages available. United States Air Force Academy Band Outdoor Concert

Presented in partnership with the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. 2026 is a year filled with historical significance. The country and state of Colorado are amid two commemorations: the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood. In honor of this historical moment, join the United States Air Force Academy Band for the official kickoff to their patriotic tour on the grounds of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. This outdoor performance will feature Americana, jazz, rock, and concert band repertoire. Guests are encouraged to come early and bring lawn chairs and blankets. A selection of food trucks will also be on site for guests to enjoy. Colorado Springs Garden Tour

The primary fundraising activity for FOX is its annual garden tour. Since the tour’s inception in 2011, this popular event has been in various Colorado Springs locations, including Village Seven, the West Side, the Old North End, Patty Jewett, the Broadmoor, Divine Redeemer and Shooks Run area, and north central Colorado Springs. The 2026 tour takes participants to the Colorado Springs Country Club and nearby neighborhoods. Tour attendees will observe artistic gardens, native plant selections, a raised bed veggie garden, and other examples for many different garden types. Parade Puppets

Parade Puppets Camp Step into a world of imagination at our very first Parade Puppets Camp, where creativity takes center stage and kids become makers, designers, and parade performers. Designed for children ages 9–13, this hands-on camp invites young artists to dream up and build their very own parade‑sized puppet, culminating in a joyful march through the Green Mountain Falls 4th of July Parade. Campers will learn from award‑winning puppeteer Katy Williams, who brings her expertise, artistry, and deep commitment to safety to every step of the process. Under her direct supervision, children will explore the fundamentals of puppet construction and safely learn to use essential tools—including hand saws, hammers, pliers, electric drills, and even a chop saw. No camper will ever use a tool without one‑on‑one guidance. Beyond the workshop, campers will enjoy the stunning natural setting of the Green Box Arts campus. Days will be filled with creative building sessions, playful time in the streams, lunch on the green, and an inspirational hike to spark ideas for th eir giant parade creations. By the end of the week, each child will proudly debut a puppet that is entirely their own—an unforgettable blend of imagination, engineering, and summertime adventure.
