United We Rock

Mark your calendar and get ready to celebrate — United We Rock Festival takes over Rock Ledge Ranch on August 1, 2026 from 2–8 pm for an unforgettable afternoon and evening of live music, local flavor and hands-on western fun. This high-energy festival brings our shared history to life with an incredible lineup of bands, delicious food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and beer and whiskey tastings — all set against the beautiful historic backdrop of the Ranch. As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday and Colorado marks 150 years, this milestone party is one you won’t want to miss. Saturday, August 1, 2026 is Colorado's 150th birthday! Join the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum for a celebration of 150 years of statehood. Enjoy live music, a new exhibit, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and of course, birthday cake. The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is pleased to announce the opening our new exhibit, "Freedom to Thrive: The American Experiment in Colorado Springs" on Saturday August 1, 2026. Coinciding with Colorado Day, Freedom to Thrive is an important contribution to the 250/150 commemoration. Reflecting on both the Semi-quincentennial of America and the Sesquicentennial of Colorado’s statehood, this exhibit centers people and stories to examine opportunities and obstacles to freedom in our community.

Colorado Day Makers Market

Join us for a one-of-a-kind Colorado Day celebration as the Royal Gorge Farmers Market transforms into the Colorado Day Makers Market on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the beautiful Gateway Depot & Plaza on the eastern edge of downtown Cañon City! Created in honor of Colorado’s 150th Anniversary of Statehood, this expanded special event celebrates the creativity, heritage, agriculture, and adventurous spirit that make Colorado extraordinary. Running from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, the event runs concurrently with the weekly Royal Gorge Farmers Market from 9:00 am–1:00 pm, featuring local produce, baked goods, specialty foods, farm products, and regional vendors. Throughout the day, the event expands into a vibrant Makers Market, welcoming artisans and craftspeople from across Colorado to showcase and sell handmade wares, artwork, home décor, jewelry, apparel, specialty products, and Colorado-inspired creations. Visitors can enjoy a lively festival atmosphere complete with live music, children’s activities, food trucks, community gathering spaces, and special experiences throughout the day. Adding to the celebration, Colorado Jeep Tours will offer four special 90-minute historic area tours departing every two hours beginning at 9:00 am, giving guests an unforgettable opportunity to explore the region’s rich history and scenic beauty. Sunset Viewing on Pikes Peak

Experience sunset from the summit of Pikes Peak — America’s Mountain on Colorado's 150 anniversary of statehood! The Gateway to the Pikes Peak Highway will reopen at 6:45 pm, giving guests the opportunity to drive their personal vehicle to the summit or ride a shuttle to the top of Pikes Peak. Sunset is expected at 8:10 pm, offering a rare chance to take in the evening views from 14,115 feet. Important details: Advance purchase is required for timed entry permits and sunset admission, OR shuttle tickets. Same-day admission will not be available. Availability is limited. Pikes Peak World Record Attempt

Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain is attempting a world record on August 1 to celebrate 150 years of Colorado! Join us on the summit at 11 am as we try to gather as many people as possible to dunk our world-famous donuts into coffee at the same time. If successful, we will become the official record holders for the most donuts dunked into coffee simultaneously! To participate, reserve your timed-entry permit or shuttle ticket in advance for August 1. Please remember that it takes about an hour to reach the summit from the Gateway, so plan your timed-entry or shuttle ticket accordingly. Participation in the record attempt is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask that all guests be respectful and patient as staff help coordinate the attempt. After the record attempt, stick around on the summit to meet Ranger Donut and visit with our friends from the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon, Cycle to the Summit, and more. 4th Annual Indian Food Festival

Indian Food Festival Returns to Colorado Springs on August 1, Celebrating Cuisine, Community & Culture. The Indian Food Festival returns on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Liberty High School, Colorado Springs, inviting the community to experience an afternoon filled with authentic food, live entertainment, shopping, and family-friendly activities. The festival brings together some of Colorado's favorite Indian restaurants, food vendors, artisans, and performers for a one-day cultural experience that welcomes people of all backgrounds. The festival is being brought to you by Polka Dots and Curry, which has offered Indian cooking classes since 2017 in Colorado Springs. In addition to a wide variety of Indian food, this year’s festival highlights an Indian-themed fashion show, Karaoke, Indian dance performances, henna (temporary henna design and tattoos), free dance lessons and raffle prizes round out this year’s festival offering. The Indian Food Festival celebrates the cultural diversity that strengthens Colorado.
