Joe Sciallo & The Deep End

Torching a vintage West Coast jump, or grooving on a jazz boogaloo, or nailing an uptempo modern shuffle, Sciallo brings an authentic touch to the world of blues and "bluesy" jazz tunes while also breaking out his own original compositions. Think Pee Wee Crayton meets Lou Donaldson, or Hollywood Fats interpreting James Brown...and you're on the way to getting the Deep End vibe. Holding it all down is drummer Stefan Flores and bassist John Flores, locking in a backbeat that keeps the whole thing cruising down the road at 100 miles per hour. El Paso County Kite Festival

Join us at Falcon Regional Park for a day of wind, vendors, food, and friendly rivalry. Bring your favorite kite, cheer on the high-flyers, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy a fun day outdoors with family and friends. Think your kite has what it takes to stand out in the sky? Join us at the El Paso County Kite Festival for the Youth Kite Contest, open to participants under age 18! This year’s theme, “Sky of Celebration, Sky of Freedom,” honors America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th anniversary.
