Presented by Colorado College Drama and Dance Department at Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College Colorado Springs, CO
Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives National Day of Theatre Readings This year, visiting Indigenous and Latinx artists will join us at Colorado College to participate in a week-long monologue writing workshop prior to the event. The artists will then perform two staged readings of existing works: Marcie Rendon's "Say Their Names" and Jeff Barehand and Jaisey Bates' "Never Be Afraid". These productions are a form of activism, aimed at fighting the statistical erasure of Indigenous folks and the lack of media coverage. With a rolling entry, all are welcome to drop in and join us anytime on May 5th at the Fine Arts Center Taste Room between 3:30-6pm. Light bites will be served, with the performance beginning at 4pm.
