The 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia: Colorado's Introduction to the World
Presented by McAllister House Museum at McAllister House Museum Colorado Springs, CO
Celebrate our 150th anniversary at the McAllister House. Executive Director of the McAllister House Museum, Eric Metzger, will talk on the the Centennial Exposition of 1876 and the reasons why the Expo was so significant to the state of Colorado. This presentation is part of the McAllister House Museum's Regional History Lecture Series. This presentation will be held in person in the carriage house located behind the McAllister House. Following the talk we will have a reception with light refreshment to honor the anniversay of our state. 2026 USA Weightlifting National Championships
Presented by USA Weightlifting at Ed Robson Arena Colorado Springs, CO
USA Weightlifting’s premier event, the 2026 National Championships Week, returns to Colorado Springs from Saturday, June 20, through Sunday, June 28, at Ed Robson Arena. The nine-day competition will feature the Senior, Junior, U25, and Youth National Championships, bringing together more than 1,500 athletes from across the country. Fans will have the opportunity to watch many of the nation’s top weightlifters compete for national titles, including Olympic gold medalist Olivia Reeves and rising Team USA standout Kolbi Ferguson. The event also serves as an important stepping stone for athletes pursuing opportunities on the international stage and working toward the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. As one of the largest weightlifting events in the country, the National Championships highlights the continued growth of the sport in the United States and celebrates the strength of Team USA following recent international success, including the USA Women’s Team earning the team title at the 2025 World Championships. Sunnyside Cemetery Tours
Presented by Victor Lowell Thomas Museum at Sunnyside Cemetery Cripple Creek, CO
Guided walking tours of the Sunnyside Cemetery near Victor, sponsored by the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, will be held June 6 through Sept. 19 - the first Saturdays of each month at 10 am and third Saturdays of each month at 1 pm, weather allowing. Local historians Alicia Petri Harrington and Veldean Myers will be conducting the tours, sharing histories of families who pioneered the gold rush day, telling stories of resilient women, brave men, grave robbers, and unusual characters. Meet just outside the cemetery gate in Pauper’s Field (Teller County Road 87 southwest of Victor). This event highlights the importance of the people who lived through Cripple Creek Victor Gold Rush in the history of the western United States and Colorado during the 250/150 celebration this summer. Pro Football Camp

Current and former NFL, EFL and Pro Women football athletes from teams across the leagues—including Colorado Springs native JoJo Domann, LB and Matt Henningsen, DE Broncos —are volunteering their time and talents to help coach the 21st annual Pro Football Camp! For the past 20 years, Pro Football Camp has created an instructional, fun, and uplifting experience for kids 7 - 14 years old in the Colorado Springs area. More than 6,100 kids have learned not only football skills but also developed character traits off-the-field from listening to NFL athletes coaching at the Pro Football Camp, who share their stories of perseverance, respect, and overcoming adversity in their lives. Bird Banding Demonstration

Join Dr. Claire Ramos and her students from Colorado State University Pueblo as we learn about the birds of the Garden of the Gods. During this bird banding demonstration, you will learn how her team safely catches birds and collects scientific information, while getting to observe the birds up close. Recommended ages 8+. Advanced registration required. Each demonstration will last 45 minutes - 1 hour. No previous experience is necessary for this observational event. This program is weather-dependent and will be cancelled in the event of poor weather for the safety of the birds. USA Pickleball Golden Ticket
Presented by Pikes Peak Pickleball Association (INACTIVE) at Peak Pickleball Colorado Springs, CO
The USA Pickleball Golden Ticket – Colorado Springs presented by Tradier is an official USA Pickleball Nationals Qualifier hosted at Peak Pickleball from June 24–28, 2026. Players from across the country will compete in this sanctioned MMP-level tournament for the opportunity to earn a Golden Ticket qualification to the 2026 USA Pickleball National Championships. The event will feature Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Junior divisions across multiple age groups and skill levels. Tournament play will include round robin competition leading into playoff brackets with referees present for all matches. Medals will be awarded across divisions, and all matches will be played indoors on hard courts using Franklin X-40 Performance pickleballs.
