Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival

Now in its 39th year, the Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival is the longest-running women's film festival in North America. Each October, filmmakers and audiences gather in Colorado Springs for screenings, post-film conversations, and filmmaker forums that spark dialogue long after the credits roll. Every festival-goer fests differently — some dive in headfirst and catch as many films as the schedule allows, while others prefer to dip in and out and mix in other weekend activities. This family-friendly event is designed to connect individuals with disabilities, children with special needs, their families, and caregivers with local organizations, services, and resources in a welcoming and inclusive environment. A special feature of the event will be a book signing with local author Claudia Paulk for her children’s book, Inside Their Colorful Mind. The book focuses on children with autism and the unique ways they experience, understand, and interact with the world around them. Families can also enjoy bounce houses, activities for children, community resource tables, and opportunities to connect with local organizations that serve individuals with disabilities and their families. Join The Carl Edward Foundation on for a family-friendly adaptive sports showcase featuring the Denver Barbarians Wheelchair Rugby Club, local wheelchair basketball representatives, and members of the U.S. Paralympic cycling team. See adaptive athletes in action while exploring community vendors and organizations offering resources, services, and support for individuals of all abilities.
