Star Party at Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center

Join us and Colorado Springs Astronomical Society (CSASTRO) for an after-hours, lights-out star party in our parking lot! Our CSASTRO Members will be bringing out their personal telescopes and other observing instruments to share views of the night sky with attendees. The Moon will be half full (1st Quarter) and we should also be able to view the planets Jupiter and Venus as well as colorful stars, star clusters, nebula and perhaps a galaxy or two. You-Pick Fridays

Our Friday You-Pick Flowers at our farm in Colorado Springs was created around one simple idea: spending a sunny summer morning exactly how we’d want to—surrounded by flowers and good company. Picture this: sipping coffee, strolling the fields, and cutting a beautiful bouquet to take home. It’s slow, joyful, and just about perfect. Farm Hours: The farm is open from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. With your ticket, you’re welcome to arrive anytime during those hours. General Admission — $5 Each guest entering the farm for you-pick will pay a flat $5 admission fee. Flowers are purchased separately and purchased at the farm. Your admission includes access to: The you-pick flower field Our on-site gift shop Picnic tables and seating Concessions Wander the garden and fill your cup with 20 flower stems. The biodegradable cup is yours to keep, making it easy to transport your flowers home or share them with a friend. We provide the cup, water, and snips for cutting. Sunnyside Cemetery Tours

Guided walking tours of the Sunnyside Cemetery near Victor, sponsored by the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, will be held June 6 through Sept. 19 - the first Saturdays of each month at 10 am and third Saturdays of each month at 1 pm, weather allowing. Local historians Alicia Petri Harrington and Veldean Myers will be conducting the tours, sharing histories of families who pioneered the gold rush day, telling stories of resilient women, brave men, grave robbers, and unusual characters. This event highlights the importance of the people who lived through Cripple Creek Victor Gold Rush in the history of the western United States and Colorado during the 250/150 celebration this summer. Royal Gorge Farmers Market

Now in its second year, this growing market has quickly become a beloved local tradition, offering fresh produce, handmade goods, and a welcoming gathering space for residents and visitors alike. The market is a program of the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, produced in collaboration with the Fremont Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) and its AgStart program, working together to support local agriculture and small business development. As a “rooted in community” initiative, the market is dedicated to strengthening connections between growers and consumers while fostering a lively and inclusive atmosphere. The Royal Gorge Farmers Market is also a proud member of the Colorado Farmers Market Association and Colorado Proud. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance Foundation and FEDC AgStart programs, further investing in the region’s economic vitality and agricultural future.
