Bat Watch

Eco-locators will be provided to hear bat calls as we watch them hunt and navigate the night sky. Meet at the admission hut for Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site. Walking is along a flat, mostly paved even surface with a total distance less than ½ mile. Dress for the evening weather. Parking available at parking lot #1 and at Rock Ledge Ranch. No Refunds. Junior Ranger Walk

Jr. Ranger booklet and awards included! Join Park Interpreter and Jr. Ranger co-author Jennifer Heiny for this family-friendly walk! After a brief introduction inside, families will leisurely walk out into the Park from the Visitor and Nature Center. This informal walk will be loosely focused on the Junior Ranger booklet and can cover anything we are seeing. Sunscreen, sturdy shoes and water recommended! USA Pickleball Golden Ticket
Presented by Pikes Peak Pickleball Association (INACTIVE) at Peak Pickleball Colorado Springs, CO
The USA Pickleball Golden Ticket – Colorado Springs presented by Tradier is an official USA Pickleball Nationals Qualifier hosted at Peak Pickleball from June 24–28, 2026. Players from across the country will compete in this sanctioned MMP-level tournament for the opportunity to earn a Golden Ticket qualification to the 2026 USA Pickleball National Championships. The event will feature Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Junior divisions across multiple age groups and skill levels. Tournament play will include round robin competition leading into playoff brackets with referees present for all matches. Medals will be awarded across divisions, and all matches will be played indoors on hard courts using Franklin X-40 Performance pickleballs. Wednesday Morning Guided Walks in the Garden of the Gods
Presented by City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services at Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center Colorado Springs, CO
Experience the Park’s natural beauty and unique features by joining this expanded guided nature walk. Participants will enjoy an introduction along Gateway Trail to the Central Garden’s most remarkable sights. The walk will cover about one mile over smooth, paved trails and will typically last around 90 minutes. Upon arrival at the Central Garden, participants may continue with the guide for further exploration, or continue to explore independently. Those who prefer can also return to the Visitor Center with the guide. Weather dependent. Additional parking is available across the street in Parking Lot #1. Please give yourself time to park and walk to the Visitor and Nature Center.
