Jazz in the Garden Presents Wayne Wilkinson Trio

Guitar virtuoso Wayne Wilkinson leads his trio on a journey ranging from straight ahead standards to original compositions. Wayne is a headliner guitarist who performs and tours across the country and internationally. Throughout his career, Wayne has shared the stage with iconic jazz musicians, world class performers, and a President of the United States. The Jazz in the Garden 2026 season begins on May 29 at 7pm in the garden at the corner of N. Tejon and Monument Streets., just blocks north of downtown, and continues on alternate Fridays through August 21. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready to spend your evening with the best music to be found in the city–new, old, tried and true you don't want to miss a single one! We'll provide beverages (for donation) and music that will get your toes tapping and fingers snapping. Picnics welcome. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged. Beverages available. Family-friendly music and atmosphere. Live broadcasts on KCME Jazz 93.5 FM will be available. SISFA Film Festival
Presented by StoryMode Films at Louisa Performing Arts Center Colorado Springs, CO
Combining exciting films, red carpet events, amazing musical performances and an interactive live show, SISFA takes film festivals to a whole new level. The festival will kick off with a Short Film Showcase Night, premiering select Colorado shorts, Late Night selections, and an assortment of additional shorts from across the United States. From there, guests will find themselves at the SISFA Kickoff Party where they can enjoy a bevy of local brews and live music from the best new indie artists at a local brewery in town. Day Two of the festival will feature an interactive panel and creative conversations with industry insiders, a Feature Film Showcase in Red Carpet fashion, and another riveting Short Film Showcase featuring even more incredible short films from all over the nation. It all leads up to the main event, combining live stage entertainment with amazing films. The show will begin with an exciting opening from the evening’s host followed by the presentation of the selected short films. The audience will then get to vote in select categories for their favorite films. A special musical performance will entertain guests as they enter the show’s second half, where in an Oscar-type fashion, awards are presented and the winners will accept them live on stage. The festival will then conclude with PartyMode, the SISFA After Party, where filmmakers and film fans alike can gather to relax, network and celebrate. 34th Annual Salute to American Veterans Rally

Celebrating freedom and patriotism, free and open to the public. Join us as we honor, respect, and remember those brave Americans who have given us the greatest gift of all: our Freedom. Commemorating America's 250 Anniversary with a plaque dedication to the Memorial in Cripple Creek's City Park as part of the Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday at Noon. Come and get your FREE Red Friday T-shirt on Friday at 10:00 am in Cripple Creek City Park. Limit one shirt per person. You can purchase more for friends and family not in attendance at $12 each. Proceeds benefit Veterans in need. The Silent Auction will feature art and collectibles and benefits local Veterans. The Saturday POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony is the centerpiece of the event and is not to be missed. In City Park at First St. & Bennett Ave, with emotion running high, this ceremony will make you proud to be an American. The ceremony features guest speakers, a special 250th America's Anniversary plaque dedications, patriotic music and much more. The 39th Annual POW/MIA Recognition Ride will stage at the Woodland Park High School Saturday morning, with the police escorted procession rolling up to Cripple Creek via Highways 24 and 67. The annual Ride is billed as “Colorado’s largest procession of motorcycles.” This will mark the 13th birthday of the designated POW-MIA Memorial Highway starting in Divide and ending in Cripple Creek.
