Sunnyside Cemetery Tours
Presented by Victor Lowell Thomas Museum at Sunnyside Cemetery Cripple Creek, CO
Guided walking tours of the Sunnyside Cemetery near Victor, sponsored by the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, will be held June 6 through Sept. 19 - the first Saturdays of each month at 10 am and third Saturdays of each month at 1 pm, weather allowing. Local historians Alicia Petri Harrington and Veldean Myers will be conducting the tours, sharing histories of families who pioneered the gold rush day, telling stories of resilient women, brave men, grave robbers, and unusual characters. Meet just outside the cemetery gate in Pauper’s Field (Teller County Road 87 southwest of Victor). This event highlights the importance of the people who lived through Cripple Creek Victor Gold Rush in the history of the western United States and Colorado during the 250/150 celebration this summer. Pro Football Camp

Current and former NFL, EFL and Pro Women football athletes from teams across the leagues—including Colorado Springs native JoJo Domann, LB and Matt Henningsen, DE Broncos —are volunteering their time and talents to help coach the 21st annual Pro Football Camp! For the past 20 years, Pro Football Camp has created an instructional, fun, and uplifting experience for kids 7 - 14 years old in the Colorado Springs area. More than 6,100 kids have learned not only football skills but also developed character traits off-the-field from listening to NFL athletes coaching at the Pro Football Camp, who share their stories of perseverance, respect, and overcoming adversity in their lives. Bird Banding Demonstration

Join Dr. Claire Ramos and her students from Colorado State University Pueblo as we learn about the birds of the Garden of the Gods. During this bird banding demonstration, you will learn how her team safely catches birds and collects scientific information, while getting to observe the birds up close. Recommended ages 8+. Advanced registration required. Each demonstration will last 45 minutes - 1 hour. No previous experience is necessary for this observational event. This program is weather-dependent and will be cancelled in the event of poor weather for the safety of the birds.
