The Marshmallow Speakeasy
Presented by 45 Degree Gallery at 45 Degree Gallery Colorado Springs, CO
The Christmas Stroll fills West Colorado Avenue with carolers, reindeer, and holiday shoppers. But behind our gallery door, there's something the crowds walking by won't see. Step inside, give the password, and follow our narrow back hallway to a door most visitors never notice. It opens onto a secret courtyard lit with strings of twinkle lights and surrounded by walls painted by our very own Brenda Jones. Grab a stick, pick your marshmallow, and toast it just the way you like it. It's cozy, a little mysterious, and a chance to slow down and chat with neighbors between stops on the Stroll. Kids love the secret entrance, and grown-ups love the hidden-away feel. The password: "Lightly Toasted" Whisper it at the front desk and we'll show you the way. (Forgot it? We'll let you in anyway, but it's more fun if you say it.) Free and open to all ages. Limit one marshmallow per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult while roasting. We're sorry, but the courtyard is not wheelchair accessible. While you're here, take a look around the gallery and find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. The Marshmallow Speakeasy is part of the Old Colorado City Christmas Stroll, a free neighborhood celebration with shop specials, Dickens Carolers, live reindeer in Bancroft Park, and photos with Santa. Make us your sweetest stop of the night. This calendar listing is brought to you by Peak Radar, the Pikes Peak region's one-stop, online website for arts and…

PopUp Choir
Presented by Colorado Springs Youth Choir at The Meanwhile Block Colorado Springs, CO
What is a PopUp Choir? A PopUp Choir is a one-night event where people who love to sing (amateurs, professionals, karaoke masters) get together and sing! Everyone is welcome! (It is not a concert - we sing for the pleasure of singing - a joyful experience and connection are the goal - not perfection.) Every event is unique. The dynamics change depending on the singers, song choice, and facilitator. It simply is something you must experience to truly understand. Everyone is Welcome! Yes, everyone! Come as you are. Even if you don’t want to sing but just want to hang out and have a really cool experience, we would love to have you there. Reserve your sport today and get to know some incredible Springs’ residents. Before the Event! Once you register for the PopUp choir you will receive an email with your practice track and access to your sheet music. For the month of December we will be singing, "O Magnum Mysterium", Victoria. Evening of the Event On the evening of the event signers will arrive at the Meanwhile Block. Once we have settled in we will warm up, spend some time getting to know each other, and practice in sections (based on voice part.) The evening will conclude with everyone signing together as a choir. Don’t forget to bring your sheet music, a water bottle, and a pencil with you. Where do the proceeds from the event go? The proceeds of event will benefit the Colorado Springs Youth…
