Mother's Day Celebration & 2nd Sunday Jazz and Swing
Presented by Pikes Peak Jazz And Swing Society at Olympian Plaza Reception Center Colorado Springs, CO
You are cordially invited to celebrate Mothers Day with the Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society. The Swing Connection dance band will provide the music for this special 2nd Sunday event. Under the direction of Steve Harget, this 11 piece band has performed public and private parties, ballroom dances, and more throughout Colorado for over 60 years. They continue to be in constant demand. Whether for dancing or listening, The Swing Connection Dance Orchestra plays a variety of styles to suit your pleasure, including Swing, Foxtrot's, Waltzes, favorite Latin styles, Polkas, Ballads, Rock and Roll, great vocals and of course Dixieland. Joining Steve Harget on the bandstand of this Mother's Day celebration will be Tate Solberg on tenor sax, Ernesto Gonzales on baritone sax, Conner Thomas on Alto Sax and Steve Harget on Alto sax and clarinet. The brass section consists of Chris Walters, Buddy Gordon and Mark Raphael on trumpet and vocal, and Rick Crafts on trombone. John Turner is on Piano while Verolen Kersey is laying down the bass line and Teag Solberg on drums. When you combine three hours of great dance music, an optional scrumptious Mediterranean / Greek buffet and desert bar, Mother's day is sure to be something very special. May Faire Celebration

May Faire at Mountain Song Community School Celebrate the arrival of spring with music, movement, crafts, food trucks, and joyful community traditions at Mountain Song Community School’s annual May Faire. This festive seasonal celebration brings together students, families, and community members for a morning of traditional May Faire activities and hands on fun. Guests can enjoy maypole dances, singing, crown making, paper flower crafts, a gem dig, and a whimsical butterfly catch with handmade butterflies. A silent auction will also be available to explore. Food trucks will be on site, and Mountain Song 8th Grade students will offer baked goods for purchase in support of their end of year trip.
