ProRodeo Hall of Fame

The snapshot

Do you love rodeos, cowboys and the spirit of the Wild West? Then the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy are sure to be your next big thrill during your visit to the Pikes Peak region.

The full experience

The fascinating history and equally interesting legends of professional rodeo come to life at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy, where visitors are greeted by the larger than life statue of The Champ, the legendary Casey Tibbs, aboard the famed saddle bronc, Necktie.

A Lasting Love of Rodeo
The rodeo holds a special place in the heart of American culture, inspiring songs, movies, books and art. Cowboys and cowgirls are equally treasured, due to their direct impact on the founding of the west and their tireless work to put food on tables at home and around the world.

The ProRodeo Hall of Fame is a celebration of all these things, telling their story — and the story of rodeo — in intricately detailed displays. Guests begin their tour in the Hall of Champions, which displays over 300 inductees, including rodeo contestants from bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, team roping, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, and all-around and also stock contractors, clowns, rodeo notables, livestock, and rodeo committees.

Explore Cowboy History
For a deep dive into cowboy history, you can also examine displays featuring saddles, chaps, hats and other rodeo equipment, each showing the evolution of riding equipment throughout the years of horsemanship that has helped to found the United States.

When you’ve completed your tour, the gift shop is a filled with western and Colorado-themed items that are perfect for fans of western wear, horses, cowboys and cowboy culture.

    Your Local Guide, PK McPherson

Third-generation Colorado Springs native and mom, sharing the secrets that turn good trips into unforgettable adventures.

My youngest loves to go to ProRodeo, especially in the summer when the retired rodeo broncs are there. We happened to go once during feeding time and the cowboy caring for the horses let him help carry feed to the animals.

    Event Hosting

ProRodeo is also one of the best hidden gems for places to host an event. I've thrown a couple of shindigs there with live music, catering and a petting zoo for the kids. Absolutely beautiful garden space with plenty of room for 500 people to spread out and enjoy themselves.
