Online Shopping in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs

We all want to support local, but shopping online can be SO convenient.  Now you can do both!  Start your holiday shopping, spruce up your wardrobe or your surroundings with something from one of your neighbors. Colorado Springs needs your support! Shop your favorite local boutiques and art galleries throughout Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.

Small businesses are at the core of our local economy.  They provide jobs, they support local charities and they spend their money in our local markets too.  Give the Pikes Peak Region a booster shot (pun kind of intended, it’s been a rough couple of years!) and get something amazing and unique for everyone on your list without breaking the bank.  Or something special for you, after all, you’re a local superhero when you shop local so you totally deserve it!

Here are a few of our faves to get you started.

*Be sure to check the list at the bottom for a more complete list of local businesses with online shopping.

Manitou Made

Manitou Made is one of my favorite things to come out of the pandemic.  The amazing little town of Manitou rallied around it’s local businesses and artists and compiled an online marketplace.  Many of it’s bigger businesses are represented, alongside smaller artists who wouldn’t normally have the google-clout to catch your attention by themselves.  You’ll find local art in every medium imaginable, clothing for men women and children, toys, home goods, food, even classes and gift cards.  The products and artists are as varied as the characters that inhabit that little berg, and you’re sure to find something special for all your most special people.

The Whickerbill

The Whickerbill is full of high quality home goods, all with a healthy dose of cheekiness.  Do you have a best friend who needs a rubber chicken handbag? Maybe your mom needs a new tea towel that says “I love how we don’t have to say out loud that I’m your favorite child.”  You know dad always wanted a shot glass measuring cup.  From jolly stocking stuffers to elegant wedding gifts, the Whickerbill has gifts you won’t find anywhere else.  Make it your go to for the most fun people in your life.

Pelindaba Lavender

I love lavender.  Period.  It’s one of my favorite plants in my garden.  It’s my go-to scent for soap, perfume, shampoo, heck, I even spend extra on my trash bags so I can get them lavender scented.  Hence, Pelindaba Lavender is basically my version of heaven.  If you’ve got lavender junkies like me amongst your crew, Pelindaba is an easy home run!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

The older I get, the more I find myself looking for gifts that don’t add to the amount of stuff my friends have in their homes. Consumables, experiences, great meals, these can all be very personal while not adding to the things that need a regular dusting.  And what could be better than locally made chocolate?  Plus with all the friends and family around during the holidays, having extra goodies around the house only makes you look like a rock star.  I’m also pretty sure it’s a requirement to get a little something for yourself when you shop for chocolate.  I don’t make the rules.

Simple Body

Here’s another brilliant consumable — not edible, but something your giftee will use up and throw away.  Simple Body is all locally made and 100% organic.  You can even setup a virtual consultation so you can get all the best of in-person shopping from the comfort of your home.  Their skincare lines are outlined by skin type, from acne prone to mature.  And if one round of skincare doesn’t quite seem like enough, sign your giftee up for a subscription and keep them in glowing skin year round.

Heartshake Studios

Heartshake Studios is another go-to for friends birthday presents, fun stocking stuffers for the kids, even special locally made surprises for your spouse.  With unique cards, great stickers, local candles, adorable baby goods, and more succulents than you can shake a stick at, the only hard part will be not keeping all these fun things for yourself!
